EMMYS 2012 = COLOURFUL
There seems to be alot of bright colours at this years Emmys. Especially block colours. Everywhere you look, there are yellows, purples, blues, pinks, oranges and some stars were sparkling in metallics. I am not particularly ecstatic about the fashion. There are some 'nice' looks but nothing blew me away. I have to say though, Kelly Osbourne looked great in Zac Posen! She seems to look very different lately. Not only the weight loss and style over do but her face looks different also - slimmer. Maybe she's had some work done? Either way, she looks very great compared to old Kelly. There were also some 'what were they thinking!?' outfits. A stand out was Hayden Panettiere in Marchesa's Indian inspired gown from their SS13 collection. There were so many other beautiful gowns she could have chosen from the collection, but she went this this!! Another not so great look was by Ashley Judd who turn up in a rather strange hair do and custom made Carolina Herrera dress. The dress is not so bad on it's own but with the beehive hair, it was just strange! Sorry for so much negativity on this post. I was rather dissapointed. Hopefully we can have some great fashion moments at the next red carpet event.

And you thought the little black dress was iconic! Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with former Paris Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld in celebration of the iconic Chanel jacket, made legendary by no other than Mademoiselle Coco Chanel.
Since it's launch earlier this year, the accompanying exhibition to the book, The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited, so far has travelled around the world to the shores of Tokyo, New York, Taipei and Hong Kong. Good news for us Aussies too, because it has been confirmed that the exhibition will be heading our way, in Sydney from October 27 - November 11. It will then continue to travel to Paris and then to TBC destinations.
The exhibition, like the book features a series of black and white photographs of celebrities and fashion icons such as Alexa Chung, Kanye West, Anna Wintour, Tilda Swinton, Yoko Ono, Alexander Wang and Sarah Jessica Parker just to name a few, wearing the iconic jacket in different ways. All photographs, taken by Karl himself and styled by Carine. The book which was released on August 25th are going fast. So go grabs yourselves a copy and don't miss the exhibition!
